What is a “Sweet Spot” Dosage?
Your “sweet spot” dose is the amount of CBD that gives you the desired results that you are looking for. And it’s important to understand that this “sweet spot” is different for each person.
If I've learned anything about dosing since I've started in the CBD business, it's that everyone is different and people can have widely different dose needs and can respond incredibly differently to CBD. What do you do? Experiment.
Less is more for many people. If you experience adverse effects, it may be because your dose it too high. These folks should microdose until they find the best level for them.
Smaller doses are also less expensive. Why take more if less does as well or better? We don't want to overstimulate your cannabinoid receptors.
CBD microdosing is a technique that involves taking very small amounts of CBD on a regular schedule.
Microdosing is a method to determine your dose, and to be done over a period of days. Once your find your dose then you take your dose on your schedule to get the best results.
How To Microdose With CBD Oil
These instructions are based on a system described by Dr. Dustin Sulak in a recent article in Rolling Stone magazine.
Place 1 drop of CBD oil under your tongue. Before consuming, ask yourself 3 questions and answer on a scale of 1 to 10: How easy is it to breathe, how comfortable and calm does your body feel and how easy is it for you to smile authentically, to feel content and grateful. After writing down your scores, take the CBD oil, wait 45 minutes and ask yourself the questions again. If there’s been no change in your scores and you’ve felt no effect, increase the dose by one drop.
Repeat the process over the next few days, increasing the dose by small increments. When you reach a point where you feel a difference after consuming, you’ve found your minimal effective serving size.
At this point, continue raising the dose by tiny amounts. At some point, there will be no further benefit from a higher dose. You’ve established your therapeutic range, and can take the minimum dose. Continue to experiment with the timing of consumption to find what works best for you.
The best product for microdosing is our tinctures. You can vary the dose easily and find your perfect dose. Start with our 250mg tincture. It's the lowest dose. After finding your dose, you can switch to a capsule if you like, for a more measured and convenient way to take your CBD.
I shoot for 25-50 mg per day depending on how I'm feeling. That may be 25mg from coffee, 15mg from tincture spray, and a 10 mg softgel before bedtime. I always use salve for lower back pain and arthritis in my neck and I'm not counting that in my total. Unsure? Call me and let me help you find your sweet spot dose.
